Today at RSA Conference 2017, Ivanti, a leader in integrating and automating critical IT tasks, announced that it has received two industry awards for its innovative suite of solutions which provide defence-in-depth, from the endpoint to the data centre.
Ivanti Application Control for Windows Servers, powered by AppSense, has won the CDM 2017 InfoSec Award for “Most Innovative Data Centre Security Solution.” The award positions Ivanti among Cyber Defence Magazine’s InfoSec Innovators of 2017. Ivanti Endpoint Security, powered by HEAT Software, was also recognised as a Silver winner of the Info Security Products Guide Global Excellence Award in the Endpoint Security category (100 to 499 employees).
“As organisations face increasing cyber security threats, it’s critical to adopt powerful solutions that will provide comprehensive threat detection, prevention and remediation – from the endpoint to the data centre,” said Duane Newman, Vice President of Product Management, Ivanti. “Ivanti Application Control for Windows Servers provides a powerful extra layer of protection in the data centre, reducing the attack surface and mitigating the risk of cyber attacks on critical server workloads. Equally, Ivanti Endpoint Security provides proactive and reliable protection for endpoints to prevent the risk of malware intrusion. It’s an honour to be recognised with these prestigious security awards.”
Officially released yesterday, Ivanti Application Control for Windows Servers allows organisations to target common server workloads and provide a layer of protection around them. Using application control with a Trusted Ownership model, it prevents unauthorised configuration changes and disables the execution of unauthorised applications, defending against malware and ransomware on vital application servers.
Ivanti Endpoint Security layers on multiple protection strategies – including AV, patch management, and application and device control – reducing the attack surface from an integrated platform. Discovery and inventory of hardware and software provides visibility across the enterprise for a complete view of the security posture. Ivanti Endpoint Security was the first solution to be awarded CESG CPA accreditation for software execution control, making it an approved solution for UK government and public sector organisations.
